Part Station Scanning
Scope.
Our customer required a customized barcode printing application which would assist them in printing labels with specific information to link their materials to the correct stations.
The problem they were facing was that the plant line started to rely on specific operators to know which stations parts had to be assigned to if the operator is not there then the process is held up. Our solution removed the obstacles of relying on specific knowledge as the system would on scan tell the operators which station the parts which have arrived are required to go to.
Solution.
The goal of the system is to retrieve the information from the database and print it through the specified printing hardware.
The application is required to be a locally run application where the data for the label and barcodes could be updated easily via CSV imports. A label with a barcode containing all the relevant information to the part is produced on scanning the arrived parts.
