Server Deployment Engineer
We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about Linux and has experience or a strong interest in Bash scripting and Ansible playbooks. As a server deployment specialist, you will be responsible for creating and testing server deployments in the automotive industry. You will be working with a team of engineers to design and implement server deployments that meet the needs of our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Your duties will include developing and testing deployment plans, troubleshooting issues that arise during the deployment process, and ensuring that all deployments are completed on time and within budget. You will need to be comfortable working with Linux systems, have a strong understanding of networking and server architectures, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary IT qualification and at least 1 year of experience in server deployment or a related field. Basic Qualifications:
- IT qualification (e.g. Advanced Diploma in Information Technology or similar)
- Good Linux and networking skills
- Basic knowledge of database systems (PostGres, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Good organisational talent and independent mode of operation
- Good communication and presentation skills
