Boilermaker / Welder Port Elizabeth
About the Role.
An opportunity has become available for an experienced and qualified Boilermaker/Welder to join our team. The main functions will be fabrication of components from raw steel as per drawing specifications and to weld them. Assembly of machines / components as per general assemblies and installation of machinery.
Please note that this is a contract position. The duration will depend on operational requirements as we are a project–based firm.
Job Duties:
- Fabricating of components as per the drawing
- MIG / TIG / ARC welding of fabricated components
- Bending of parts to be weldeds
- Doing quality checks on machined components
- Cutting of steel with acetylene torch / plasma cutter
- Assembly of machines / components as per general assemblies
- Installation of machinery
Remuneration:
- Metal & Engineering Industries Bargaining Council (MEIBC) rates and benefits are offered
Requirements:
- Qualified Boilermaker/Welder
- Previous experience in welding and boiler making field
- Experience in industrial automation
- Willing and able to work overtime
- Physically fit
